This past weekend was one of the coldest in decades. The low temperatures negatively impacted small businesses from fruit growers to, well, Carnival owners. I met with this unexpected photo-op while attending a rock and mineral show. Oddly enough, shooting a carnival was on my summer list. It was snowing pretty heavily when I started shooting, then, as there were no customers willing to deal with the snow and twenty five degree temps, the carnies began taking it all down two days early. It made for an interesting subject.
